Balloons for baby Sam

A dear friend and colleague of mine (Holly) has been a great source of inspiration to me. Last September, Zach Bennett and his wife Laura had a sweet baby girl named Sam. Soon after her birth, Zach and Laura received devastating news that Sam had Spinal Muscular Atrophy. Instead of choosing the path of bitterness, Zach and Laura chose life! Each day after receiving the news, every moment was cherished with baby Sam. Zach and Laura taught us all how to live each day and embrace each moment. Sam recently left this world to be with God, because of her strength and the love of her parents, many people are forever changed. I believe God had a plan in this. I think God chose such a small miracle child to teach us about love so BIG! Sam we love you and we know that you are in the hands of our Creator for eternity!
A balloon release took place to honor baby Sam. Sam’s color was pink, so many friends and family met at Holmes Lake to release pink balloons to show love and support for our dear friend Sam. Our hearts are full of love and appreciation!
